A few facts about modern Israel, merely 60 years old, regathered from the four corners of the earth after 2000 years of exile.
Israel, the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the world's population, can make claim to the following:
And above all!
Certainly, Israel is 'a Light unto the nations!'
What is Israel's Secret?
Rom. 3:2 The Jews are the people "to whom God's Word (Torah) was entrusted." Acts 7:38 refers to it as "the Words of Life."
Proverbs 3:1 "Do not forget My Teaching, Let your heart keep My Principles, for these will give you lengthier days, longer years of life and greater Happiness ... ( 16-18 ) "Long life is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are Peace. She is a Tree Of Life to them that lay hold upon her. Happy is every one that retains her"

Is it not passing strange that even though Arafat's Palestinian Authority has murdered and wounded thousands of Jews since Oslo, and even though some 80 percent of the Arab Palestinians approve of the suicide bombing of Jewish women, men, and children, Israel's Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, continues to publicly support the idea of an Arab Palestinian state! How are we to understand this political stupidity?
This stupidity, coupled to Arab hostility, is serving a metaphysical and world-historical purpose. That purpose, I dare say, is to bring about a renaissance in Judaism, in which Jews will recognize Eretz Israel as a God-given and therefore unalienable inheritance. But to so recognize Eretz Yisrael is to reaffirm the Sinai Covenant and thus restore the centrality of the Torah in the State of Israel. From this it follows, however, that the foolish and murderous policy of "land for peace" was necessary to awaken Jews and to prepare the ground for a truly Jewish polity, one dedicated to the glorification of Almighty God! But let us retrace our steps.
It has become increasingly obvious to more and more Jews that regardless of which prime minister or which political party has been in power, there is no end to the atrocities perpetrated by Arabs against Jewish women, men, and children. Mr. Sharon was elected by an unprecedented 63 percent of the voters, who certainly expected him to suppress Arab violence, which suppression would surely have terminated the Oslo process. Yet more Jews have been murdered during Sharon's first ten months in office than in the longer tenure of his predecessor, Ehud Barak! In no country in the world is it as hazardous for Jews to live in than in Israel, their own homeland!
And yet, despite this fact, not only have hundreds of thousands of Jews come to Israel since Oslo, but many have settled in Judea and Samaria which Israeli governments have been so anxious to abandon for "peace"! Do you not see the hand of God in this extraordinary phenomenon?
God has given Israel, in the Arabs, the best enemy. For such is their implacable hatred of Jews and Israel on the one hand, and their insatiable lust for More and More and More on the other, that they have made nonsense of Israel's policy of "land for peace".
Now, without minimizing the Jewish suffering wrought by Oslo's architects and fellow-travelers, Oslo has made it increasingly obvious to more and more Jews that their salvation does not depend on whether the government is led by Labor or the Likud, HENCE THAT THEIR WELL-BEING DOES NOT DEPEND ON DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS. More and more people now realize that Israeli democracy is fundamentally flawed. Indeed, an increasing majority now despises the political system that places so many cretins and cravens in power.
A recent poll commissioned by Israel's dovish Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg indicates that 88 percent of the people are disgusted with the Knesset, with its self-serving multiplicity of parties, which produces, of course, Israel's multi-party cabinet government. But what has made the ineptitude of this political system so obvious and deadly has been the Oslovian attempt to pacify Israel's Arab enemy. Which means that Israel's Arab enemy has unwittingly exposed, or hastened the recognition of, the impossibility of Israel's present form of government! Nor is this all. Sooner or later Jews will come to the recognition that the penultimate function of Israel's Arab enemy is to make impossible the success of Israel's secular democratic state!
This will presage a renaissance of Jewish civilization that will enlighten and bring peace to mankind.

BIBLE REVELATIONS Commentary - God has chosen to fulfill His Biblical Covenant Promises of settling the Jews in the Land He had promised to Abraham and his descendants 4000 yrs ago, by a paradoxical series of historical oddities. One current prevailing such Paradox, is that contrary to the claims of the Palestinians, one after the other Israeli prime minister have failed to pursue these Divine Promises and claim the Land, as Divinely instructed. According to Rav (Rabbi) Avraham Yitzhak HaCohen Kook, wars are indicative of the "Footsteps of the Moshiach (Messiah)". By the 'Moshiach', Rav Kook does not mean an individual but rather a series of historical events leading to Israel's restoration and ascendancy on the one hand, and the decline of Western as well as Eastern civilization on the other. A brief sketch of this historical process follows.
The French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars resulted in the ascendancy of nationalism or the nation state vis-a-vis religion or the universal Church. European nationalism spawned political Zionism, the awakening of Jewish nationalism.
The Franco-Prussian War precipitated the unification of Germany, which was a prelude to the First World War. This war not only put an end to the Ottoman Empire and Turkish control of Palestine; the war also produced the Balfour Declaration, which prepared the ground for a Jewish State in Palestine.
Rav Kook, who died in 1935, did not see the Second World War. But as his son Rabbi Zvi Yehudah Kook often stated on Holocaust Day, this war led to Israel's rebirth in 1948. ( 'The death of the righteous granted the Jewish people new life'). It took the War of Independence, however, to establish the State of Israel and facilitate the in-gathering of the Jewish people.
The 1956 Sinai War displayed Israel's far-reaching power, which the Six-Day War of 1967 awesomely demonstrated, a war that resulted in the unification of Jerusalem and the recapture of the Jewish heartland, Judea and Samaria.
The Yom Kippur War of 1973, prepared for the termination of the secular Labor Party's 29-year monopoly of power in 1977. The Labor Party thereafter became dependent on the Arab vote, which prompted Labor to abandon political Zionism on which the State had been (inadequately) founded. Labor's policy of land-for-peace followed and led to Oslo in 1993. The underlying motive of this policy was to put an end to territorial nationalism, ironically, the original basis of the State! Indeed, Oslo was to facilitate the transformation of the Jewish State into a 'State of its citizens'.
To put it more starkly: Oslo was the culmination of a revolution initiated by the Labor-Meretz Government after the June 1992 national election, a revolution whose goal was to secularize the country, denude the public schools of Jewish content, and thus put an end to Judaism in Eretz Yisrael! (This HAD to be the Left's goal, since the birthrate of religious Jews was twice that of their secular counterparts.)
But Oslo has to be understood dialectically - and by the way, Rav Kook's philosophy of history is dialectical. For Oslo has led to Arafat's War, a war that has revealed not only the utter bankruptcy of the Labor Party, but of the Likud, indeed, of Israel's inept and un-Jewish system of government. All of which takes us closer to the Moshiach.
I believe it can be said that, thanks to Arafatís War, Israel is not going to lose Judea and Samaria, as has been feared since Camp David 1978 and especially since Oslo. One can now intuitively foresee the eventual incorporation of Judea and Samaria into the State. This means expanded Jewish settlement and development, which in turn will hasten the departure of the so-called Palestinian Arabs.
If, however, a regional war should
break out, it will hasten the expulsion of the Arabs, the demolition of
the two mosques on the Har Habayit (Temple Mount), and the construction
of the Third Temple. In any case, from the present darkness,
light shall come forth. Israel will rediscover its essence and purpose.
At last, thank God, we shall experience the 'Moshiach'.

[BIBLE REVELATIONS Comment - It is the Israeli Left which has been responsible for the national attempt to remove Zionism and religion from Israel's culture over the last decade.]
"There is one positive consequence to the recent cycle of Palestinian violence: the re-awakening of Jewish nationalism, namely Zionism. Up until last year, post-Zionist attitudes and other wise-guy notions regarding the global village were common among us, when people were saying that Zionism was obsolete. [However,] recent events in the territories and among Arab-Israelis have revived Zionism and made it immensely relevant for our time. Zionism jumped out of the civic classes' [textbooks] and re-emerged as a relevant political position."
"It is hard not to notice [this trend] in our day-to-day lives: the immense support in the national unity government headed by Ariel Sharon, a dramatic lessening of religious, political, and ethnic divides [within Israeli society], our impressive endurance in the face of frequent suicide attacks, the opening and closing broadcasts of the Macabbiya ceremonies [the Jewish Olympics] which received record-breaking ratings, reserve soldiers demanding to be recruited, and even an attack by the founding fathers of the [academic] establishment, as professor Shlomo Avinery did [when he came out] against the Ha'aretz newspaper for being post-Zionist."
"This is classical Zionism of persistence, of long-term outlook emanating from the fact that there are no alternatives, and of willingness for self-sacrifice. Due to these circumstances, Zionism is reemerging as a potential self-defining element among Jews and Israelis, who up until a year ago saw themselves as citizens of the world."
"The Zionist awakening is also enhanced by attacks from the outside [of Israel], mainly from Europe. The attempt to equate Zionism with racism, and the despicable attacks against Israel result in the opposite affect from the one hoped for in Europe: isolationism, stubbornness, and the strengthening of Jewish nationalism. In the past, Jewish hatred was the main accelerator of Zionism. It is not any different these days, as Palestinian nationalism is legitimate in Europe while Jewish nationalism is perceived as being colonialist, patronizing, and absurd."
"Unlike Jingoism, nationalism is of great significance as a unifying element, strengthening solidarity in any society. However, during the past decade, the feeling that Jewish nationalism is a thing of the past, an embarrassing, and an antiquated phenomenon, has become stronger in Israel. The result of this was the disintegration of the collective solidarity in our society, and to an [emergence] of an attitude of "what do I care?" Today, as Islamic suicide bombers are reaching everywhere, the threat is total, and the feeling that we are all in the same boat is getting stronger. Consequently, the individualistic themes [in the Israeli society] are becoming weaker and we return to collective patterns."
"This sociological process is much more profound than what it seems to us at first glance. Even a return to negotiations will not change it since today it is clear that neither a return of the territories nor any other miraculous solutions would suffice to reach a peace settlement."
"This is the whole paradox: Jewish nationalism encouraged and created Palestinian nationalism throughout the Twentieth Century, challenged it, and forced it to react.
"There could be drawbacks to this type of awakening, such as [the emergence of] a unanimous public consensus and a fear of the other. However, it is reasonable to think that the assertive Israeli democratic [conviction] will not allow this to happen. In any case, the awareness of this sociological transformation, which is taking place in front of our own eyes, can create new and original glue to the [social] divides, which have occurred between us throughout the years. This bitter reality may actually end up in a sweet outcome."

The three largest insurance claims in United States history all have direct connection to American involvement in the Middle East Peace talks when Israel was pressured to give up God's covenant land in exchange for peace.
On the front page of the Business Section in yesterday's Washington Post was “Putting a Price on ‘What Ifs’,” a story which contained the dollar amounts, along with accompanying photos, of these insurance events.
These three largest insurance claims are listed here. In parentheses, I have noted the connection to the ongoing Middle East “peace process” in which the issue of land for peace was a key factor.
$19.6 billion. (This event happened on August 23, 1992, the day the Madrid Peace Conference re-convened in Washington to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian crisis.)
$16.2 billion. (This event happened on January 16, 1994, as President Clinton and Syria's President Haffez el-Assad called for Israel to give up the Golan Heights to Syria at a public meeting in Geneva.)
Terrorist Attacks at the World Trade Center and Pentagon:
$30-$50 billion. (The September 11 event happened at the moment that the Bush Administration was putting the final touches on a Middle East initiative, which included recognition of a Palestinian State, endorsement of the Mitchell Plan, and position statements about Palestinian refugees and the status of Jerusalem. This initiative was to be shared with the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations on Sept. 13, with a formal presentation to the U.N. General Assembly by Secretary of State Colin Powell on September 23.)
Putting this information into perspective, the three largest events in U.S. insurance history all took place on the same day or at the same moment (in the case of the WTC/Pentagon terror events) that Israel was being pushed by the United States to give up God’s Covenant Land.
The odds against these events happening at the same time are astronomical. These are not mere coincidences.
