5 months after  –  “A National Disgrace!”

By Hillel Fendel

Nobel Prize Winner Prof. Aumann at the Herzliya Conference: “The treatment of the expellees is a national disgrace, and everyone is silent… Israel’s mad rush for peace has the opposite effect.”

Prof. Yisrael Aumann of Hebrew University won this past year’s Nobel Prize in Economics, for “enhancing our understanding of conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis.” He spoke Saturday night at the opening session of the prestigious Sixth Annual Herzliya Conference.

Many of the thousands of people expelled from Gush Katif and northern Shomron are still in hotels, he noted, “even now, a half-year after the expulsion, without the most basic conditions. Most of them are not yet in permanent housing, or even in reasonable temporary housing. There is no work, the children are in despair, and there have been some suicide attempts. Many families, and maybe even most, have not seen a red cent in compensation money, and those who have received are spending it on daily food.”

A report released earlier this month by the Gush Katif-L’maan Acheinu Task Force stated that more than half the families had received nothing at all of the promised compensation. The remaining families received an average of 50,000 shekels (just over $10,000), and only some 5% received the entire compensation payment. Those living in pre-fab housing, known as caravilot, are paying monthly rent of $450 – totally using up their advance payment within two year.

“We’re not talking about enemies or lawbreakers,” Prof. Aumann said, “but rather productive people who built a glorious settlement enterprise, and whose lives have now been destroyed – and yet everyone just ignores it. The entire media and everyone else; no one hears a word about it, no one relates to it, everyone ignores it. I, for one, will not be silent, and I am not silent.”

A religious Jew who grew up in New York City and currently resides in Jerusalem, Prof. Aumann won the prestigious prize together with Prof. Thomas C. Schelling of the University of Maryland.

“I don’t know how the treatment [of the expellees] affects our national resilience,” Prof. Aumann said, “and I’m not talking about the expulsion itself – but just about the treatment of those who were expelled. It’s not clear whether this is being done purposely to show a message that Zionism is not worth it and [people] might as well stop engaging in it as quickly as possible – or just out of criminal negligence. And I don’t know which is worse.”

Prof. Aumann said that Israel’s mad pursuit of peace is precisely that which is pushing it further away:

“The Arabs always said they have time, and that they can wait 10, 20 or 50 years until we disappear. But our problem is that we don’t have time; we’re rushing. We want ‘peace now,’ and so we go and destroy beautiful blossoming productive communities. We destroy the lives of tens of thousands of people on the altar of ‘we have to do something.’ The very act of running crazedly after the longed-for peace is precisely that which distances it from us.”

Aug. 3, 2006

Today – exactly 1 year on the Jewish Calendar after Israel’s withdrawal from Gush Katif  –  is the gloom filled historic day of Tisha B’Av – the 9th of Av, when both the Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed and many other disasters overtook Israel in history.

Lebanon – Hezbullah – Israel War

– result of Israel’s Disengagement from the ‘Promised Land’

Several commentators agree that the sudden break out of War with the terrorist organization, Hezbullah in Lebanon, is as a direct result of Israel’s Disengagement policy in Gush Katif and Israel’s false trust in the ‘peace’ on the Lebanon border after their hasty military withdrawal in 2000.  Israel failed to fully uproot Hezbollah at the time and allowed Hizbullah  building their rocket arsenal for 6 years without any interference from Israel.  The ‘peaceful’ situation on the Lebanon border, was upheld by the leftist rulers of Israel as ‘proof’ that Peace can be achieved with the terrorists without Israel’s interference!

The sudden rain of hundreds of Hezbullah rockets deep into Northern Israel in July 2006, came as a rude awakening to most deluded leftists in Israel.

The danger now looms that this war can spill over into Syria, and then draw in Iran who threatens to use their newly developing nuclear arsenal to wipe Israel off the map.

History is repeating itself. In the times of Israel’s kings and judges,  its war successes  fluctuated between great success and doom,  depending on the nation’s spiritual standing with God.   The reason why today, Israel’s highly acclaimed army in this war can not seem to make a substantial dent in Hezbullah’s capabilities to rain rockets on Israel’s northern towns, may well stem from the traumatic and disgusting forcible removal of their prime (many religious) settlers off their Promised Land.  In 1967, in just SIX days, Israel wiped out the attacking Arab armies on every and each of its borders around the country!   And its brave army conquered stretches of Land and the Holy Mount in Jerusalem (after 2000 years!) which seemed to have been ‘dumped into their laps’ by the God of Israel Who is true to His Promises!

In this Lebanon / Hizbullah War 2006, after 3 weeks, the army has not even conquered 40% of Hezbullah controlled towns within 7 Km across the border!  Something is wrong!  And still, Olmert, the ruling PM of Israel, is promising to continue with his intent to pull another 100,000 Jews out of their homes in Samaria and the West Bank – ‘prime Promised Land Territory’ according to the Bible!

On the morning of the 22nd day of the War (the day before Tisha B’Av – the anniversary of Israel’s astounding eviction of 1800 Jewish families from their homes and farms in Gush Katif – Israel’s PM Olmert announced to the world that they have conquered Hezbullah.  Hezbullah responded with 220 rockets on Israel – the most ever on one day in this war. And more and more Israelis were now dying.  It is as if Olmert is challenging the God of Israel, confirming daily his intent to withdraw from the rest of the Bible Land!

The God of Israel “neither slumbers nor sleeps”. But let those who oppose Israel and the Purpose of God take note:  He shall see Israel through!  Jerusalem shall never be trodden down again by any other nation.  It will be awarded to Israel and the Jews!

Ezek 20:30  “Therefore say to the house of Israel: ‘This is what  YHVH says: …

31 “You say, ‘We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world,’ …  But what you have in mind will never happen. 33  As surely as I live, declares YHVH,  I will rule over you with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with outpoured wrath. 34 I will bring you from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered- … 35 I will bring you into the desert of the nations and there, face to face, I will execute judgment upon you. 36 As I judged your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, so I will judge you, declares YHVH  37 I will take note of you as you pass under My rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant. 38 I will purge you of those who revolt and rebel against Me.  39  Go and serve your idols, every one of you! But afterward you will surely listen to Me and no longer profane My Holy Name with your gifts and idols. 40  For on My holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares  YHVH, there in the land the entire house of Israel will serve Me, and there I will accept them. … 41 I will accept you as fragrant incense when I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will show Myself Holy among you in the sight of the nations. 42 Then you will know that I am YHVH, when I bring you into the land of Israel, the land I had sworn with uplifted hand to give to your fathers  ,.. 44 You will know that I am YHVH, when I deal with you for My Name’s sake and not according to your evil ways and your corrupt practices, O house of Israel, declares YHVH.'”

2 years after:  Unbelievable! – and the nation and the world is silent once again as in the Holocaust

According to a report by the Gush Katif Committee:  Thirty-seven percent of the settlers are still out of work, although Matzliah disputes that as too low a figure. Some 500 families are on welfare. And since many residents don’t have jobs, they are spending their compensation checks on daily needs rather than saving to build a home. Less than one percent of the settlers have started building permanent housing and most could be living in temporary accomodations for another five years.

The Ministry of Commerce says family income has decreased by 40 percent, with many receiving no income for two years. Young people face large gaps in their education, scarred from the trauma of eviction and switching schools several times.

Gaza’s Jewish communities once provided a high percentage of Israel’s agricultural produce, but of the 400 farms and other agricultural businesses that once operated in Gush Katif, only 33 have been compensated with land inside Israel.

Gush Katifians held liable for their bonds on their destroyed homes and now sued by their former Arab employees!

After the Israeli government have turned their backs on Gush Katif residents who not only had their homes bulldozed, but were also left helpless while Banks insist on their Bond repayments – they are now faced with being sued by their formerArab employees for lost employment,  while the government once again turn their backs on them!

Gov’t Stonewalls Expelled Gush Katif Farmers

July 13, 2008

( The government authority SELA, which was formed to assist Gush Katif expellees, has ruled that former farmers will have to fend for themselves in lawsuits filed by former Arab workers for reparations. SELA explained that government compensation does not cover damages claimed by Arab workers although SELA still has not provided many of the farmers with permanent housing or work.

Investigative journalist David Bedein explained the situation to Mark Regev, spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Bedein asked the Prime Minister to intervene after SELA said it would not help the expelled farmers. Regev turned the matter over to government spokesman David Baker, who insisted, “I am sure SELA will be of assistance to you, as always.”

Bedein tried once more and wrote, “The question remains: Since the ministerial responsibility over SELA lies with the Prime Minister of Israel, will the Prime Minister overrule this decision of SELA to assist the farmers who by no fault of their own fired their Arab workers? And if not, why not?”

Baker replied in a one sentence letter, “Thank you for utilizing the services of SELA.”

The Gaza War

BIBLE REVELATIONS Commentary – After 8 years of turning a blind eye to Palestinian rocket attacks on civilian towns in Southern Israel, it has become particularly unbearable towards the end of the year 2008, for right thinking Israelis why their government would not defend neither protect them against the constant Qassam rocket attacks from Palestinians in Gaza.  The argument was always, that these are crude rockets which generally did not hit any targets.  But if it did, you were certainly dead. Children and citizens were as much fearing of these constant bombardments than those Palestinians whom the news media so love to feature daily and hourly in their desperate attempts to blacken the Israeli Jewish nation.

Theories why they reluctantly now turned to drastic action against Gaza, abound in Israel.  There is an election pending for 10 February- and already the charts have turned favourably back towards the lame duck leftist government who already had lost the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006 – a first ever for modern Israel.  It is also quite apparent that both the USA and the Israeli government would prefer to deal with ‘moderate’ (yet as blood thirsty and Jew-hating) Fatah which had been deposed by the outspoken terrorist Hamas elected government of Gaza – the result therefore, still spelling the end of Jewish Israel, which would be left bereft of their Divine Inheritance, the Promised Land. which they would then be sharing with a terrorist nation who’s true aims are a Land free from Jews altogether.

What the government of Israel desperately tries to conceal, is their fatal blunder with the ‘Disengagement’ from Gush Katif in August 2005 (as reviewed on this Web page) which has now come back to haunt them.  Either in collaboration or through sheer ignorance, the world media, in their reporting of the Gaza war, conceals the fact that the Israeli ground forces have now, 3,5 years later, invaded Gush Katif again.  The fact is concealed by referring to the invaded sector as “Gaza”, and quoting the new Palestinian names for the former Gush Katif towns where the land battles are now fiercely fought.  This fact can be easily confirmed by comparing the news media maps with the Gush Katif map at the top of this Page.

The current much opposed (by the world) troop entry into “Gaza” is confirming that the Israeli government can no longer conceal their dilemma.  It now requires the mighty Israeli army and ground troops risking their lives, to undo the “Disengagement of Gush Katif” when Jews were forcibly evicted out of their homes and farms in order to give the Land to the Palestinians who have created their rocket launch bases on the once profitable farm lands conquered by the Jews from the deserts and wilderness.

This leads to a third consideration then, why Israel has waited so long to defend their civilian population.  They are no doubt aware, and petrified, that their return to Gush Katif to stop the bombing would force them to re-occupy the land and thus to admit their great blunder with Gush Katif.

Of course, enter the sovereign Will and Plan of the God of Israel.  Time will shortly reveal if this is His Way of forcing Israel back to their Biblical land and to stop the Israeli government from further disposing of their sacred Inheritance by exchanging it for a false promise of Peace – as exactly was the case with Gush Katif.

The following news report in one of Israel’s leftist daily’s appeared on the 2nd day after the land invasion into “Gaza”.  It is a heart rendering wake-up call to all the deceived Israelis and the opposing world out there who are siding against the Divine Intention with the Land of israel under Jewish rule.

We lost our homes for nothing,’ says reservist from former Gaza settlement”
By Nir Hasson Haaretz Last update – 05:25 05/01/2009

Three years after being evacuated from settlements in the Gaza Strip, some of the evacuees are now returning – in uniform.

Aharon Cruz, a paratroops officer, lived in Netzarim for two years before  the disengagement. On Sunday, he and his unit, to which he had been recalled a mere day after his wedding last Thursday, were back at the settlement’s ruins in central Gaza. (Ed. reflecting the disdain that the rulers of Israel have for the instructions of Torah not to involve a newly wed shortly after marriage!)

“On one hand, there’s a feeling of ‘what did we leave for?'” said his father, Rabbi Ze’ev Cruz. “On the other hand, there’s joy that he is returning to a place he knows.”

The ground operation has aroused strong feelings among the evacuees. Some see it as a first step toward returning to their former homes. But most simply want to shout “we told you so!” And the feelings are intensified among those who have sons serving in Gaza.

“It’s a very difficult feeling,” said Ami Shaked, former chief security officer of the Gush Katif settlement bloc, whose son is a paratrooper. “This is the first war in which my son is defending me instead of me, him.”

But beyond that, “everything we said then has come true. What is happening today reopens the wounds. The thought arises that perhaps we shouldn’t have given in; perhaps we should have been more insistent, ratcheted up the struggle another notch. But that’s history.”

Yossi Neuman, a reserve officer in Southern Command who once lived in Neve Dekalim, was called up over a week ago. His son Itai, a tank commander, called him yesterday from the ruins of Netzarim.

“It’s a destructive feeling,” Neuman said. “I’m here on an emergency call-up and my son is fighting for what we once had. We said missiles would haunt Ashkelon and they said we were delusional. We lost our homes and our lives for nothing, for nothing at all in exchange. And in the end, we’re returning to fight there.”

For many evacuees, the feelings were heightened by the news that the son of Zvika Bar-Hai – a West Bank settler who was one of the leaders of the fight against disengagement – was seriously wounded on the first day of the ground operation.

But the army’s return to Netzarim was particularly emotional for former residents of that settlement. “I got text messages that said ‘stop everything, we’ll soon be back,'” said one, Itzik Vazana. “We’re hoping for the day when we return. I think we’ve come a long way from the expulsion until today. We’ve made a big circle, and in the end, we’re returning to Netzarim. Tomorrow morning we won’t return to the settlement, but it’s a process that will ripen slowly.”

“It’s a stab in the heart,” added another, Eliyahu Ozen. “Today it is clear that when I lived in Netzarim, I was the country’s flak jacket. Today, I live with the feeling that I did my job. Too bad they didn’t want it any more.”

Gulf Oil well Disaster could kill world’s oceans – is this continuing Divine Retribution?

A confidential US government report on the unfolding oil spill disaster after the explosion of the Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico, is preparing for the worst scenario.  If not contained (which seems unlikely at the moment – and this, at best, could take months, by which time much of the oceans of the world could be polluted), it is widely acclaimed as mankind’s greatest disaster ever.  Bible commentators are conjecturing that this could be the fulfilment of a Biblical Prophecy in Revelation 8:8–9 which says, “The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.”

This catastrophe has happened, merely some 50 miles off the New Orleans Coast line.  Could this be continued Divine retribution for the USA’s part in August 2005 (at the time of Katrina) for pressuring Israel to disenfranchise 1800 Israeli families (9000 people) from their homes, farms and businesses in Gush Katif?  Most of these families today, 5 years later,  are still without permanent homes and riddled with financial and psychological problems – just as the residents of New Orleans who lost their homes in Katrina, are still suffering the consequences.  And now authorities in USA are preparing emergency evacuation of 40 million residents from the badly and increasing land and air polluted areas affected by the spill.

To follow and understand this projected Retribution possibility, be sure to read the entire Gush Katif report here.

The Oil rig which initially exploded, was a modern marvel, the cutting edge of drilling technology. The flames,  200 – 300 ft high,  were visible up to about 35 miles away. It could well have fitted the prophet’s view 2000 years ago, as “something like a huge mountain, all ablaze,  thrown into the sea”   It burned up in 2 days and sunk, with the well gushing oil at a rate for which estimates increased from an initial 40,000 gallons per day to a government panel of scientists estimate of between 1,47 million gallons and 2.5 million gallons of oil per day (15 June, 2010 –   )

Oil swirls in the Gulf of Mexico currents May 6, 2010. (AP Photo/Dave Martin)

Exactly as described in the 2000 year old Prophecy of the End Time, the colour of this oil floating in the sea is not black but reddish!  Sea creatures are fleeing and dying, and the sea currents are now dragging the spill towards the East coast of the USA.  Scientific charts predict it to reach Europe if not stopped.  Many scientists have declared the pressure power behind this rupture as beyond the capabilities of mankind to stop. An option to plug the hole using a nuclear explosion is being considered.  Some scientist warn that this, or an explosion of the huge gas bubble building up below the surface of the sea, could create a gigantic tsunami

The situation is gradually worsening and if not plugged,  an open could become “the mother of all gushers, which could kill earth’s oceans!”

While speculation is rife and thus a call for caution, there are many responsible calls and conjectures to even include the Prophetic forecast of “a third of the ships to be destroyed.’  This could result from conjectures that not only oil but poisonous and explosive gasses are also escaping, building up an underwater plume which could explode to produce a monstrous tsunami.

BIBLE REVELATIONS try and avoid speculative fear mongering which is so common amongst religious followers.  Yet, it realizes its responsibility to proclaim the truly fearful warnings of the Bible against a godless world.  In this spirit, we refer you to some sources which should be taken note of, even if it seems extreme:

7 years later and the Gush Katif Saga is continuing relentlessly!

Seven years later!  Gush Katif has turned into a Palestinian terrorist training ground after the eviction of Jews from their lush farm production there. It has become the  launch pad for missiles into Southern Israel. And continually the Israeli government throws Jews out of their homes in settlement areas. They are now intent on demolishing apartment buildings and homes in Beith El  areas. There is talk of  moving 900 families out of their homes in Shomron!

This dictatorial actions of the Israeli government is flaunted all in the name of ‘democracy’ and ‘law abidance’ – so convincingly, that the major part of the nation falls for it.  Seven years of family destruction in Gush Katif. and many expellees are still without promised home replacement or compensation.  Yet, the nation seems to believe the new promises to forthcoming evictees.

This is all beyond the absurd – so much so, that latest revelations have uncovered Rabbinic Prophecies from the Babylonian Talmud about these chaotic conditions preceding the Arrival of the ruling Messiah ben David in Israel.

Arutz 7: Katif Expellees Stuck as Caravans Taken for Expulsion

Expellee families have new jobs, new schools, but nowhere to live as government reassigns their new caravan homes to Beit El.

Maayana Miskin, June 8, 2012

The government’s plan to demolish homes in Beit El’s Ulpana neighborhood threatens to leave more than one set of families homeless. In addition to the 30 families facing eviction in Beit El, 40 young families of Gush Katif expellees are facing the prospect of another year in the temporary caravan sites that have become long-term homes.

The young families were told they could start a long-awaited mass relocation to the Lachish region and would be given 40 mobile homes to stay in while they wait for construction of permanent homes. The families underwent the complicated process of finding work in the Lachish region and registering their children to local schools.

Then, just weeks before the move was to take place, government officials informed them that the mobile homes they had been promised would be taken to Beit El instead, to be used as housing for the more than 140 people facing eviction.

“It’s adding insult to injury,” said Eitan Ben-Hor, a member of the administrative committee for the planned Lachish-region town Bnei Dekalim.

“We’re families who want to move forward to permanent communities – not to have things easy, but to sacrifice in order to push things forward,” he said. “Suddenly at the last second they take the caravans in order to expel other people.”

“I’m not disappointed,” he added. “As someone from Gush Katif I don’t expect too much from the state. But I’m shocked by the lack of compassion.  There are really no words to describe it.”

Let’s take a look at the big picture, the picture of what is really going on here.

Babylonian Talmud, Sanhedrin 97a
“It was taught, Rabbi Yehudah said: In the generation when the son of David comes, the house of assembly will be for harlots, the Galilee will be in ruins, Gablan will lie desolate, *the residents from the border towns will wander about from city to city, receiving no comfort* (hospitality), the wisdom of scribes will be in disfavour, God-fearing men will be despised, people will be dog-faced, and the truth will be absent, as it is said, “And the truth is absent, and he who withdraws from evil makes himself prey.” (Isaiah 59:15)

Is the Galilee in ruins, from *Hizbullah’s* missiles? Does the Gablan lie desolate from the same? Has the wisdom of the sages of today been rejected? Are God-fearing men despised? Has the truth disappeared (into spread out sections)?

Clearly they have not found rest or comfort over the seven years. Furthermore, many of the residents of Elei Sinai were already expelled once, from Yamit in the Sinai.

Our “rule of thumb,” so to speak, is that negative prophecies do not have to be fulfilled, not if we do ‘teshuvah‘ (repentance). But, teshuvah is not just saying we’re sorry. It’s not just asking for forgiveness. It’s not just having regret.

It’s also about changing our behaviour, and making a commitment to do our best not to repeat our same mistakes again.

In order to do this, we must first determine what those mistakes are.

Let’s think back seven years in *Azza*. There was very little resistance, and the little resistance was undermined by the *YeShA* Council.

Now, let’s look at Beth-El, where even one of it’s own “rabbis” says that he won’t participate in any protests against the destruction of several (not at all small) apartment buildings. No doubt, many will follow him, due to his “charisma,” not his ‘halachic’ support for what he proclaims.

When will we finally learn?

If we do not learn from our mistakes, and continue to repeat them, I have no doubt that the fulfilment of negative prophecies will become an regular part of our lives in Israel. May God forbid!
